We all go a little crazy in the fall. For most, fall is all about pumpkins and other delicious squash. While I love pumpkin and squash, apples are my absolute favorite, so when I was asked to guest post over on the BHG Delish Dish Blog, I knew apples had to be incorporated somewhere. This cheesy apple pasta pie is a variation of their apple and cheddar penne pie, and I can’t wait to share my changes with you! Here are some pairings I just love to serve with this recipe.

Beer I don’t pair with tripels very often. It isn’t the easiest style of beer to pair with, but when it comes to sharp cheeses and sweet apples, tripels are my favorite. If I ever pair with cheese, I always have a tripel on hand, and that is the main reason I love a good tripel with this recipe.

A Dinner Party While I think this recipe is perfect for a quick weeknight meal, it is also elegant enough to serve at a dinner party. That is the idea I’m going off of while I was choosing what to pair with. First and foremost, I’d start with the perfect appetizer. I absolutely ADORE this Creamy Sriracha Hummus topped with simple guacamole. This appetizer is perfect for a crowd. Next, I would serve this cheesy apple pasta pie with a simple side salad. Keeping the fall theme going, I would end the meal with a fall-inspired dessert. This autumn citrus crunch cake recipe is the icing on top of the perfect evening!
